An early error detection system for a drive system of a wind power generator is provided. The system includes a first rotation sensor coupled to an input shaft of a drive gear or transmission device. This first sensor acquires the input rotation angle. In addition, the system includes a second rotation sensor coupled to the drive gear or the output shaft of the transmission device. The output angle acquired by the second sensor indicates the output of the drive gear or the transmission device according to the input angle. The system further includes a controller configured to simultaneously acquire a first time-dependent signal indicating an input angle and a second time-dependent signal indicating an output angle. The control unit is configured to calculate a time-dependent angle difference from the first signal and the second signal in consideration of the speed transmission ratio of the drive gear or the transmission device. Furthermore, the control unit analyzes the difference in time-dependent angle in order to perform early error detection of the drive system. [Selection] Figure 2
