PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method for producing a manganese dioxide porous material capable of producing a manganese dioxide porous material having a large specific surface area at a low cost; an electrode material using the manganese dioxide porous material produced by the method; and a power storage device.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a manganese dioxide porous material in which particles of manganese dioxide are formed from an aqueous solution obtained by dissolving potassium permanganate as a raw material salt and at least one of maleic acid or fumaric acid as a reducing agent and the particles are dried.
