User equipment and method for cell association and beamforming training with a millimeter cell capable small cell

Embodiments relate to multiple systems, methods, and computer-readable media. These allow multiple millimeter wave enabled small cell (MCSC) devices to receive user equipment handovers from the universal mobile communications system terrestrial radio access node B (eNB). In particular, multiple systems and methods are described for associating user equipment (UE) with an MCSC operating as a booster for an eNB. This includes identification of the preferred cell sector and communication on the preferred cell sector between the UE and the MCSC.
