PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary display device for inserting a hemispherical cup from the side surface of a base material or inserting a stem into the base material, the display having high accuracy in comparison with a conventional angle meter and a mechanical guide and having the accuracy equal to or more than the other surgery support system, is very simple and eliminates most of preparation, and provide a guide instrument for prosthetic joint replacements suitable for this auxiliary display device.SOLUTION: An auxiliary display device includes: a hemispherical cup inserted from the side surface of a base material or a stem inserted into the base material; markers provided at base materials, respectively; photographing means for taking images including the markers; calculation means for calculating the coordinate of the hemispherical cup or the stem with the base material based on the taken images, and calculating an insertion angle of the hemispherical cup or the insertion angle of the stem from the coordinate; and portable display means for displaying the insertion angle.
