PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building material that offers excellent fire retardant property and thermal insulation property.SOLUTION: A building material for a window structure and a fire door structure, comprises a first member and a second member formed of metal, and a molded body connecting the first member with the second member in a separated state. The molded body includes glass wool and an inorganic binder, and meets a flame-retardant criterion equivalent to a Class 1 flame retardant material pursuant to the JIS A 1322, and/or meets a criterion of an incombustible material when tested by a combustion test pursuant to Item 9, Article 2 of the Building Code.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
