PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively encrypt a portion to be encrypted in an image of a page determined to be defective.SOLUTION: An image inspection apparatus includes: a master image processing unit 402 which generates a master image for inspecting a read image on the basis of information on an image to be formed and output, and generates encryption information for encrypting disclosure control information, on the basis of disclosure control position information indicating an area where the disclosure control information to be disclosure-controlled is displayed in the image to be formed and output; and an inspection control unit 403 which acquires a result of determining a defect of the read image on the basis of a difference between the master image and the read image, and encrypts the disclosure control information on the basis of the encryption information when the defect is detected, to be transmitted over a network.
