PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow continuation of duet singing even if a failure occurs in a communication line, in a communication karaoke system that includes a plurality of karaoke devices interconnected communicably via the communication line and has a duet singing function.SOLUTION: A karaoke device 2 includes: a main body side storage unit 33 (vocal data storing means) in which a vocal sound track (vocal data) of a certain music is stored; and a main body side control unit 31 (failure determining means, or reproduction controlling means) that determines the existence of a communication failure in the communication line 4, and, when the existence of the communication failure is determined, reproduces the vocal sound track instead of singing voice data of the opposite side.
