PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyphase oxide particle for manufacturing a high-purity BaTiO-based composite oxide at low cost, a method for manufacturing a polyphase oxide particle, and a method for manufacturing the BaTiO-based composite oxide.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a polyphase oxide particle is configured to include a weighing step (S1) of weighing a raw material composed of a compound containing Ba and a compound containing Zr so that the molar ratio of Zr to Ba satisfies 1.75 to 2.25, and a heating step (S3) of heating the weighed raw material to thereby synthesize the polyphase oxide particle formed of two phases of a BaZrOphase and a ZrOphase.
