PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting single photon detector in which response speed can be increased while minimizing light-receiving efficiency with a simple configuration, and to provide a structure determination method of light-receiving wiring thereof.SOLUTION: As a combination of the occupancy for a light-receiving region A and the thickness in a direction perpendicular to the principal surface of the substrate 11 of a light-receiving wiring 12, the light-receiving wiring 12 of a superconducting single photon detector 1 has such a combination of the occupancy and the thickness as a light absorption efficiency Pa higher than a reference light absorption efficiency Pao is obtained, out of combinations where the occupancy is less than 50% and the thickness is larger than 4 nm when it is assumed that the light absorption efficiency in which the thickness is 4nm and the occupancy is 50% is defined as the reference light absorption efficiency Pao.
