The present invention discloses a P-type FeNbTiSb thermoelectric material having a high performance index, and the composition of the raw material is FeNb1-xTixSb, where x = 0.06 to 0.24. The present invention also discloses a method for preparing the P-type FeNbTiSb thermoelectric material. First, the raw material iron, niobium, titanium and antimony are weighed according to the chemical component content ratio of FeNb1-xTixSb, and protected under an argon atmosphere. The ingot is obtained by melt smelting, and the ingot is crushed into granules and fired again to obtain the P-type FeNbTiSb thermoelectric material. The present invention has a simple manufacturing process, a short production cycle, and a high production efficiency. The prepared P-type FeNbTiSb thermoelectric material is excellent in high-temperature stability, the elements constituting the material are abundant in the crust, and the industrialization cost is low. Its maximum zT value reaches 1.1 under 1100K, which is currently the best performance that can be obtained with a Half-Heusler system.
