PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser ion source capable of drawing and accelerating stable ions.SOLUTION: A laser ion source 2 in an embodiment comprises: a laser oscillator 1 for oscillating a laser beam 1a; a laser power source 1b for applying voltage to the laser oscillator 1; a target 2b placed in a vacuum container 2a and generating ions by being radiated with the laser beam 1a; an energy measuring apparatus 7 that can be provided so that it can move forward and backward in an optical path of the laser beam 1a and that measures laser energy of the laser beam 1a; and a control device 6 for controlling the voltage of the laser power source 1b so that the laser energy is in a predetermined range.
