PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magnetic nanoparticles in detecting biological molecules, and methods with high sensitivity for their use.;SOLUTION: A method for detecting a molecule of an object includes the steps of: providing a first molecule covalently bound to at least one magnetizable nanoparticle; providing a second molecule covalently bound to a base substance; causing the first molecule to contact with the second molecule under a condition suitable for selectively binding the first molecule to the second molecule and causing a composite body to be formed; and detecting the composite body. Magnetic nanoparticles can be bound to nucleic acid molecules, which are then captured by a complementary sequence bound to a detector such as a spin valve detector or a magnetic tunnel junction detector. A detection of the bound magnetic nanoparticle can be achieved with high specificity and sensitivity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
