PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new plum concentrated extract having much polyphenol content by suppressing the decomposition of a polyphenol in a plum raw material, and concentrating the polyphenol on condition of blocking or controlling the generation of furfurals such as HMF, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: In a method for producing a plum concentrated extract not substantially containing furfural, a plum raw material is concentrated at a temperature 85°C.
