PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting easily commingling of a corrosion inhibitor used for preventing sulfuric acid deterioration due to microorganisms in structures of sewerage concrete, hume pipes and assembled manholes.SOLUTION: A simple method of detecting a corrosion inhibitor comprises: preparing two kinds of liquids including liquid A which is formed by adding an acidic liquid containing nutrient salts for sulfur bacteria and a protein constituent ingredient promoting an iron oxidation activity of sulfur bacteria to the sulfur bacteria having an iron oxidation capacity, and liquid B which is formed by adding a sample expected to contain a corrosion inhibitor to the liquid A; and detecting presence or absence of a corrosion inhibitor by adding a redox indicator individually to the liquid A and the liquid B and, after leaving the liquid A and the liquid B to stand, detecting the color change of the individual liquids, or by, after leaving the liquid A and the liquid B to stand, adding the redox indicator individually to the liquid A and the liquid B and detecting the color change of individual liquids.
