When the voltage between the first terminal and the third terminal or the voltage between the first terminal and the second terminal is equal to or higher than the threshold voltage, the half bridge circuit according to the present disclosure Current flows from the second terminal to the third terminal or from the third terminal to the second terminal according to the polarity of the voltage between the third terminal and the third terminal. When a current flows from the third terminal to the second terminal, the voltage between the first terminal and the third terminal is between the first terminal and the third terminal in a range where the voltage between the first terminal and the third terminal is equal to or lower than the threshold voltage. The voltage between the second terminal and the third terminal changes with respect to the applied voltage. The applied voltage for turning off the switch element is set by switching between a substantially zero voltage and a negative bias voltage between the first terminal and the third terminal. The voltage applied between the first terminal and the third terminal for turn-off control of the first switch element is switched to a substantially zero voltage before the second switch element is turn-off controlled.
