PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-maintenance vertical shaft pump having an intermediate portion reliably supported.;SOLUTION: A vertical shaft pump P includes intermediate support devices 10 having skeleton-side support parts 2 provided in a skeleton K with the vertical shaft pump P installed therein and pump-side support parts 3 provided in the vertical shaft pump P. The skeleton-side support parts 2 and the pump-side support parts 3 are allowed to slidably move in the vertical direction, and restricted to move in the radial direction of a rotating shaft 102.
