PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact large-aperture telephoto zoom lens having superior vibration control function and suitable especially for a digital single-lens reflex camera equipped with a small imaging element.;SOLUTION: A four-group zoom lens comprises, in order from an object side, a first lens group having positive power, a second lens group having negative power, a third lens group having positive power, and a fourth lens group having positive power, and moves the second lens group and the third lens group along an optical axis to vary power. The fourth lens group comprises, in order from an object side, a fourth lens front group G4f having positive power, a fourth lens middle group G4m having negative power, and a fourth lens rear group G4r having positive power, and is made up to decenter the fourth lens middle group G4m substantially perpendicular to the optical axis to displace an imaging position.
