PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coal stabilization method which requires no complicated operation and can reduce equipment costs.;SOLUTION: A coal stabilization method includes coal charge step of charging a to-be-treated object 50 (coal), in order, into a plurality of treatment containers (1a to 1i) and an aging step of supplying, with branching, an oxygen-containing gas into the treatment container (1a to 1i) charged with the object 50, through a common passage 31 for gas supply, to bring the object 50 into direct contact with the gas so as to oxidize the object 50 partially. In the aging step of the coal stabilization method, the amounts of the gas supplied into the treatment containers (1a to 1i) are adjusted individually for the treatment containers (1a to 1i).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
