PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box making device which can securely pick a head folded cardboard box out of many folded cardboard boxes which are stacked.SOLUTION: A box making device 10 includes a stack part 12, and a transfer part 13. The stack part stacks many folded cardboard boxes along a conveying direction. The folded cardboard box is a cardboard box folded planarly. The transfer part sequentially picks one folded cardboard box, which is at a head in the conveying direction, out of the many folded cardboard boxes, and transfers it in a post-process. The stack part includes a first stacking part 21 and a second stacking part 22. The first stacking part stacks the many folded cardboard boxes along the conveying direction. The second stacking part includes a plurality of contact surfaces arranged in a stepped shape. The plurality of contact surfaces contact with lower ends of a plurality of folded cardboard boxes before being transferred to the post-process by the transfer part out of the many folded cardboard boxes.
