A corresponding spinning machine (1) features at least one thread seeking device (7) movable in the area of multiple work stations (2) of the spinning machine (1), with a suction nozzle (12) subjected to negative pressure. At least one transfer element (13) is provided for moving the thread end (6) that is sought out from the suction nozzle (12) to the receiving position (A) at the work station (2).
