The present invention relates to an improved method and system for reporting medical examinations. The method and system meet the need of users (radiologists, doctors or other medical personnel) to interact flexibly with the PACS. The present invention provides a computer-implemented method for reporting medical examinations by one or more users. A first step is to display a medical image on a display device, the medical image from a PACS server within a first session. A second step is to forward a report on the displayed medical image of a user of a sound recording system to the server within a second session associated with the first session. A third step is to forward the report from the server to the display device. A fourth step is the display of the report with said medical image by the display device within the first session, in which the forwarding in the second and third steps takes place in real time.
