The high thermal resistance, independent of the polymerization time, suggests wide application in processes involving temperatures up to 350 ° C. These polyesters can be used as precursors for the synthesis of other polymers, heterogeneous acid catalysts, proton exchange resins and for the preparation of polymeric ion exchange membranes, which are used in fuel cells.
