Summary antimicrobial preservative composition, method for preservation of personal care product from microbial attack containing an aqueous phase, and personal care formulation for topical application This is an antimicrobial preservative composition of personal product for preservation of personal care formulations. which comprises [a] one or more undecylenic acid derivatives represented by formula (i), [b] one or more octanoic acid derivatives represented by formula (ii), and [c] 2-phenoxy ethanol or 2-ether ethyl hexyl glyceryl or mixture of these two 'liquid alcohol ethers'; wherein each of the two components [a] and [b] are present in the range of 5 to 20% by weight and together [a] and [b] constitute 10 to 30% by weight and the 'liquid alcohol ether' component [c] is present in 70 to 90% by weight of the total preservative composition. A method for preserving the microbial attack personal care product is provided which contains an aqueous phase comprising approximately three to three to three percent by weight compositions of the total personal care formulation. 1/2
