Geophysical inversion using sparse modeling

摘要

Geophysical modeling and inversion methods are described. A sparse domain is defined by a geophysical model, on which a sparse model result is computed. A complete model result is then resolved by interpolation over the sparse domain. The complete model result can be used as the result of advanced modeling in a geophysical inversion process. The reconstruction error, or model error, or both can be used to adjust the sparse domain, model, or geophysical basis of the model.
