Container comprising a container body and a lid mountable on said container body, said container body comprising a bottom, side walls and an opening delimited by a rim portion and said lid comprising an injection moulded rim portion which is arranged to be mountable on the rim portion of the container body in a manner which allows the lid to be detached from the container body and then later re-attached on the container body and a central lid portion which is fastened to the rim portion of the lid and which covers the opening of the container body when the lid is mounted on the container body, characterized in that the central lid portion comprises at least two drain openings, said drain openings passing through the central lid portion to allow fluid communication between the inside of the container and the outside of the container, said central lid portion furthermore comprising a peelable cover element which sealingly covers the drain openings, but which is arranged to be peeled off the central lid portion to expose the drain openings. In this way a container is provided whereby it is easy to remove liquid inside the container while keeping food products inside the container.
