Polyurethane shoe sole direct injection mould part - produces lateral movement applying pressure to mould cover side on closure of cover by axially displaced cooperating elements.
Part of a mould for direct injection of shoe soles has a lower plate (1) and an upper cover (2). The plate (1) has a side part (4) movable parallel to the sole surface fitted with a piece (4) that co-operates with a part (7) of the cover. Closure of the cover to the plate causes displacement of the side part (4) towards the cover and in contact with it in the active position. Return movement an opening the cover to the neutral position is affected by springs. $ Also claimed are polyurethane soles made by direct injection into a mould fitted with such a device. $ The actuating part (7) on the cover consists of a pin (7) chamfered (8) at its end that cooperates with a bore (6), in the movable part (4), and dia. to accept the pin (7). The pin and bore axes are displaced by a distance (E) so that entry of the pin in the bore causes lateral movement by the chamfered end.
