New tubulisin derivatives have been proposed that may be useful as cytotoxic agents to provide therapeutic effects in the treatment of various types of cancer alone or as conjugates of drugs with antibodies. Tubulisin derivatives consist of a tetrapeptide framework containing methyl- and ethyl-substituted piperidines. Tubulisin conjugates additionally contain a monoclonal antibody that is attached via a succinimide linker.
