Systems and methods for tracking the location of a train that does not have an internal drive and works as part of an automated railway system are proposed. In one of the embodiments of the present invention, the railway system includes a rail track running in the direction of movement of the train; a plurality of trolleys moving along a specified track and combined into one train; a unit for reading the location data; and a programmable logic controller (PLC), communicating by means of communication with the specified block read location data and configured to determine the location of the composition coming from the specified block input data.
