SYSTEM FOR RADIAL ARTERY CONVERGENCE OBTAINED BY SIMULTANEOUS ULNAR ARTERY COMPRESSION

Novelty: a device aiming at the radial artery convergence obtained by simultaneous compression of the ulnar artery is disclosed. Purpose: to obtain hemostasis at the radial artery’s pincture points as well as prevention of the occlusion of said artery. Structural components: a flexible plastic splint 1 furnished with two wristbands 2, two wristbands with additional materials, each wristband being composed of a pressure system (3,4,5). Function stages: 1) positioning and fixing of the device on the wrist; 2) securing of the wristband meant for the compression of the radial artery; 3) securing of the wristband meant for the compression of the ulnar artery; 4) progressive relaxation of the wristband at the radial artery, allowing the blood to flow without haemorrhage hazard; 5) stopping of the ulnar artery compression one hour after its beginning; 6) haemostasis achievement; 7) removal of the device from the patient’s wrist.
