INVISIBLE MECHANISM FOR THE FIXING OF GLASS PANES IN MUSEUM SHOWCASES

Novelty: there is disclosed an invisible two-part mechanism meant for the fixing of showcase glass panes, which mechanism is exclusively placed on the horizontal and inner sides of the showcase΄s crystal facades a part of which is externally covered by a horizontal mask (fig. 1, 2.A). Constitution: metal blades being mutually welded (4,5),connected with the metal spindles (6,7,8,9) and having two steady sections (1,2) embedded on the steady part of the showcase 12 and one moving section 3 connected to the steady parts (1,2) via two metal blades (4,5). The variable-trajectory of the double-step movement of the blades which regulate the distance between the steady part of the mechanism and the glass pane throughout the closure and opening process allows the multiple use of said mechanism as well as the use of heavy crystals in a safe manner, without any restriction in dimensions. Purpose: to obtain excellent aesthetic result, maximum tightness in the interior of the showcase and, thereby, excellent retention, enhancement and preservation of sensitive authentic archeological monuments and museum exhibits in museums, archeological sites and buildings.
