The presentation invention relates to IVRS (Interactive voice response systemj based smart remote controller for agricultural pump set. It comprises of smart remote controller having three phase voltage sensor, microcontroller, GSM module, and DTMF Decoder and ISD module. It consists of a subscriber number which forms a link between the farmer and controller. This can be operated by the farmer anywhere, anytime and any number of time. It has intelligence to interact with farmer in regional language. Whenever the farmer calls on the number inserted in the GSM, the microcontroller picks up the call and the prerecorded voice instruction in regional language are heard by the farmer through GSM link. On pressing a key on his phone, a DTMF tone is generated is sent over the GSM network. The appropriate action taken by microcontroller based on DTMF decoder output.
