DESIGNING OF ANDROID BASED ACCIDENT AVOIDANCE APPLICATION IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS

With the ever increasing population, accidents are increasing at an alarming rate. Accidents are the major cause of destruction of human lives as it is the most uninvited and unintentional happening that causes a lot of damage, injury as well as loss to human life. So there is an urgent call for stopping these accidents, so as to save mankind from destruction. Deaths by accidents have increased to a greater level and have become the second largest reason for death after Heart disease. Seeking the current scenario of increasing road accidents, a prototype has been presented which is a working model along with an android application that will avoid accident by avoiding the collision of vehicle. This paper represents the scenario where collision of vehicles is avoided by alerting the driver with a buzzer that will buzz whenever there is another car with Zig Bee, in range with the current car, there will be a message flashing on LCD inside the car that vehicle is detected nearby. Communication between the cars will take place via ZigBee. There is an android application that will tell the exact location of the vehicles on Google map. This will help to reduce the collision. This whole proposed method is different from other methods as the methods that have been invented until date are mostly in-built techniques while the method proposed here is a prototype that can be implemented in real world.
