MATERIAL QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM FOR HOT-ROLLED STRIP AND METHOD THEREOF

A material quality control system for hot-rolled strip in which a strip subjected to hot rolling by a final rolling stand of a finishing mill of a hot rolling facility followed by cooling in a run-out table is wound by a coiler, the control system including: a slow cooling history-material quality correlation table storage apparatus for storing empirically determined data of correlation between slow cooling history and material quality; a slow cooling temperature history calculator for determining a slow cooling temperature history of the finish rolled strip in the run-out table; and a material quality distribution evaluation apparatus which refers to the slow cooling history- material quality correlation table storage apparatus by using the slow cooling temperature history so as to acquire material quality data of the strip concerned, and estimates a material quality distribution of the strip from the acquired material quality data.
