Tactile Sign Language Conversion Tool for Deaf/Dumb Interaction

ABSTRACT Human being interaction is normally done with the help of natural language i.e. words, sentences etc or with the help of sign language. Tactile Sign language helps to bridge the gap between those who can hear and those who cannot. Using a collection of hand movements and symbols, sign language is an effective means of communication that provides the deaf/dumb and those hearing impaired a way interact with the world around them. Learning and understanding sign language isn't just for the hearing disable it's also for those interested in being able to communicate with the deaf/dumb people. TactoSign converts video of daily frequently used full sentence interaction (hand movement) into a text. Recognition of hand shape from persistent frames will be done by using series of image processing operations. Sentence formation is done using NLP engine.
