ABSTRACT AN ARRANGEMENT TO CONVERT RECIPROCATING LINEAR MOTION INTO ROTATIONAL MOTION The present subject matter relates to an arrangement (100) comprising a plurality of engine units (150a, 150b) including a first cylinder (101a, 101b) and a second cylinder (102a, 102b) between which a cage member (103a, 103b) traverses and adapted to exhibit the reciprocating linear motion there between. The cage member is coupled to an output receiving member (108a, 108b) through a first set of pulling members (106a, 107a, 106b, 107b) to transfer the reciprocating linear motion of the cage member (103a, 103b) to the output receiving member to thereby cause the output receiving member to exhibit the rotational motion. An axis member (112) adapted to receive the output receiving members (108a, 108b). A pulley arrangement (120) coupled to the cage members through a second set of pulling members (116a, 116b). The pulley arrangement and the output receiving members are adapted to transfer unidirectional rotational motion to the axis member. Fig. 1
