The present invention provides self-assembled multi-fluorescent carbon nanostructures particularly graphene quantum dots for selective cytoplasm, 5 nucleus labeling and other biomedical applications like pH sensing, would heal and temperature sensing. The present invention also provides a process for the synthesis of multi-fluorescent carbon nanostructures using grape seed extract as a carbon source.
