The heat sink (1) consists of a circular arc shaped inlet collector (5) and a circular arc shaped outlet collector (7). The longitudinal centre line (X) of the heat sink body (2) passes through the centres (a) of the inlet and outlet collectors and the centres (b) of the inlet and outlet ports (6, 8). The radius of curvature, r, of each of the inlet collector and outlet collectors from the centre thereof is equal to 0.58 to 58.16mm. The distance, x, between the centre of each of the inlet and outlet collectors to the respective ends of the microchannels is equal to 0.30 to 29.69mm The distance, y, between the centre of each of the inlet and outlet ports to the respective ends of the microchannels is equal to 0.51 to 51.02mm. The heat sink has improved cooling efficiency and other advantages. (Fig 1).
