SOLAR AND DIESEL GENERATOR BASED HYBRID POWERED PORTABLE COLD STORAGE

The present disclosure generally relates to the field of cooling and refrigeration. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a portable cold storage device that is powered through a hybrid power means having solar panel and diesel generator based powering capability. In an aspect, the present disclosure relates to a portable cold storage device that includes a refrigeration compartment and a thermal energy storage unit, wherein the cold storage device is powered by a hybrid power means that include a solar based powering means that is configured to power the cold storage through one or more solar panels, and a diesel generator based powering means that is configured to power the cold storage through a diesel generator. In an aspect, activation of the solar based powering means and/or of the diesel generator based powering means can be controlled by means of a control system that is operatively coupled with the cold storage device.
