A process for tailpipe emission reduction and engine’s systems prognostics comprising a cloud based ecosystem relates to a process for reducing tailpipe emissions and conducting engine’s systems prognostics, while considering real-time environmental conditions, of several types of OBD-II capable cars, achieved by learning from each automobile connected to the cloud. The process comprises an ecosystem which consists of a smart device based application, which processes the engine parameter data real time to guide the driver to stay in an optimum engine power band and sends this data to a web application (cloud) to conduct prognostics. The basic prognostics capability is deployed locally in the application and executed in HUD mode with real time local messages whereas the advanced prognostics capability is deployed in Cloud for the data received from the smart device application in HUD mode during the Monitoring ‘M’ Drive with the messages generated and emailed by the cloud.
