ABSTRACT Molecular characterization of novel peptide antibiotics and its process for their preparation and use A novel antimicrobial and wound healing composition having homogenates of Pleurocidin like peptides from Skin epidermal layers of Claurius butrachus is disclosed. The wound healing formulation is easy to use and covers the wound completely. Besides, it contains antimicrobial, preservative and matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor chemicals for effective healing of wounds and ulcers.
