The invention relates to biotechnology, particularly to a process for micropropagation of Mentha gattefossei Maire plants in vitro.The method, according to the invention, comprises the inoculation of minicuttings and cultivation of shoots obtained from axillary buds with induction of rhizogenesis on a nutrient medium, containing ½ mineral salts in relation to Murashige-Skoog medium, wherein the cultivation is carried out at a temperature of 26°C, relative humidity of 70%, with a photoperiod of 16 hours of light, light intensity of 2000 lx and pH 5.8, for 4…5 weeks.
