The present disclosure is related to a Portland cement based cementing compound with thermal properties optimized by incorporating a copolymer; comprising Portland cement, fly ash, at least one water insoluble copolymer and an additive. The cementing compound comprises Portland-type cement, taking up to between 32.5 and 37% of the total volume of the mixture, fly ash (between 17.5 and 20%) and a water-insoluble copolymer (43-50%), while the additive content is between 5 to 25 g/kg of the mixture between Portland cement and fly ash. Said cementing compound has a specific heat of between 1.232 and 1.434 J/g·K, a volumetric weight of between 560 and 740 Kg/m3, a thermal conductivity of between 0.17 to 0.22 W/(m·K) and a volumetric weight of 740 to 900 Kg/m3; having a thermal conductivity of between 0.31 to 0.37 W/(m·K).
