The present invention relates to a manufacturing process of bionanocompounds based on molten thermoplastic starch with graphene oxide, which consists of 4 steps: A) dispersing and exfoliating the OG in water, B) formulating a granular starch paste and a plasticizer, C) mechanically mixing A and B and left to stand for at least 8 h, D) thermoplasticizing (C) in the molten state. By means of this process, the bio-nanocomposites with exfoliated graphene oxide are obtained, which present mechanical properties with high performance compared to thermoplastic starch. This process includes the advantage of being easily implemented on an industrial scale and the bio-nanocomposites obtained therefrom, can be used to replace some synthetic polymers in the automotive, agricultural, energy, packaging and construction industries, among others.
