The invention relates to europium (Eu3 +) doped luminescent ionogels useful in various applications within the optic field. Specifically, relates to the production method of a luminescent monolithic ionogel in europium (Eu3 +) presence, of about 0.1 mol% up to 20 mol%, which comprises the containment of an ionic liquid resulting from the imidazole by carboxylic acid functionality in a silica matrix.
