The invention relates to a low consumption device for remote monitoring of cathodic protection systems in rights-of-way, useful for remotely monitoring the cathodic protection system installed in the ducts submerged in the way of hard access. The present invention consists of a monitoring device formed by a battery, electronics for customizing electrical signals for sensors, sensors, micro-controllers for processing and handling data, radio transmitters for remote monitoring, as well as clock modules for the assessment of operating times. The present invention possesses utility primarily for remote monitoring of cathodic protection systems at difficult access locations. The device is especially useful in locations where environmental conditions are not favorable to electronic devices, as well as in locations where the device could be damaged by human accidents or vandalism. The device is designed to be embedded in resistant concrete blocks, located in existing cathodic protection moni toring facilities on rights-of-way; therefore installation is especially simple and efficient.
