Adaptation of value engine coolant temperature sensor during warm-up of a petrol engine.

摘要

The invention concerns the adaptation of the amount of fuel given to a petrol engine with fuel injection during the warm-up period of the engine. The fuel injection systems used in cars built after 1984 provide the engine with an enrichment of the fuel for a cold start and the warm-up period of the engine. After a cold start the enrichment can be reduced considerably without influencing the driveability of the car. By reducing the amount of fuel after the cold start negative effects of the enrichment are avoided. The negative effects are a higher production of CO, C02 and other exhaust gasses, a higher fuel consumption and extra wear on the engine. Application of the invention means for the car owner some savings, for agglomeration areas it means considerable reduction of the environment pollution by gasoline cars.
