A manure-processing device for processing poultry manure into a fertilizer has a tumble dryer 1 provided with a stirrer 3 for keeping manure present in the tumble dryer in operation during operation, which tumble dryer is provided with a manure inlet 5 for raw wet manure and a fertilizer outlet 7 for dry fertilizer and an air outlet 9 for moist air. The manure processing device furthermore has a condensing device 11 which is connected to the air outlet, as well as vacuum means 13, 15 for creating an underpressure in the drying drum 1. By drying the manure in the drying drum at underpressure the drying process proceeds faster. The vacuum means 13, 15 are preferably formed by the condensing device 11.
