Water-soluble solid composition comprises nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, where the composition is present in the form of homogeneous granules, which comprise an acid-base reaction product between phosphoric acid, nitric acid, potassium hydroxide and ammonia, and a mixture of ammonium-potassium nitrate salt. An independent claim is included for preparing the composition comprising an exothermic acid-base reaction between the nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium containing an acid and potassium hydroxide to obtain the acid-base reaction product, where the acid-base reaction is obtained by mixing nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in a liquid or gaseous form of phosphoric acid, nitric acid, potassium hydroxide and ammonia, to give a product of acid-base reaction liquid containing a mixed salt of potassium-ammonium nitrate and then granulating the acid-base reaction product.
