The invention relates to a sealing-compensation system, free of axial friction, meant to be employed in hydraulic reversing pumps and motors with gear wheels. According to the invention, the system comprises four independent elements, as follows: a rubber gasket (7a), an internal fitting (7b) and two external fittings (7c), where the rubber gasket (7a) has a special profile with a back groove (7d) which ensures the transmission of hydrostatic pressure while resting on the internal fitting (7b) and the external fittings (7c), at the ends the gasket being open to permit the supply and the pressure to be transmitted allover its surface, through a central groove (7d), the pump or motor being able to work both ways, both with inlet and with outlet pressure, as the sealing is symmetrical and with open centre.
