摘要

The invention relates to a composite material with ionizing radiation absorbing properties, employed for manufacturing structural elements in space vehicles. According to the invention, the material consists of a polymeric matrix of the thermoplastic or thermorigid type wherein a micrometric powder of heavy materials with ionizing radiation screening properties is dispersed, this polymeric matrix being reinforced with cloths and/or felts of carbon fibres, and it is plated on both faces with 45 μm-thick aluminium foil, having an electromagnetic screening of 95...11 dB, in the frequency range of 10...4x10Hz, at a thickness of 3 mm and a ionizing radiation screening which is up to three times higher as compared with aluminium alloys.
